This bourbon is a true small batch blend of three barrels. The MGP bourbon was aged for 5 years in American Oak and then transferred to French Oak and has been aging for 4.5 years in those casks. We took a month to determine the best blend recipe and then harvested barrels to the exact poundage of the recipe. At 115.7 proof and 9.5 years old the only peer product is Michters PFG. The nose is rich with spiced apricot, caramel, and oak while the taste delivers those notes and adds on rich chocolate, sweet oak, and baking spices. The best part of the pour is a lingering sweet French oak finish. This is truly a superb blend.
